The Culub Movement I of II

Author : Mohammed Ismaeel

Year : 1997

The Culub movement, like any other liberation
movements was an anti-occupation, anti colonial movement.
It was an uprising by the general population of Harar.
Hararis never welcomed the Abyssinian forces, they bitterly
resented the illegal Occupation of foreign forces and they
organized themselves under the banner of Culub to free the
country and the people from the foreign power that claims
sovereignty over their territory to facilitate economic and
political domination. The movement was widespread from
one comer to the other comer of the country.
